“Fragmented Souls” — Sample Excerpt from eBook

A “fragmented soul” or “fragmented spirit” refers to a person who has separated a portion or fragment of his or her spirit consciousness and has attached that fragment to another person, place or object. The fragmented soul is less than whole, thereby causing mental or emotional problems. Similarly, if the fragment is attached to another person, that person may experience mental, emotional, or even physical problems resulting from the influence of the fragmented soul.

This is largely an experiential book including actual case histories and transcripts from clients of the two authors. It was written to set before the reader numerous and interesting example cases of spirit attachment and spirit fragmentation. Appropriately, a few chapters are dedicated to providing a basic understanding of the technical aspects of attachments and fragments, whereas most chapters examine individual case histories.

Using this approach, the book offers the general public informative discussion and insight into this intriguing and little known area of spirit therapy. At the same time, it serves as an instructional tool and reference guide for new hypnotherapists and experienced therapists, providing a solid introduction and detailed transcripts for numerous types of attachments, fragments, and their related therapies.

When we first sat down to write this book, we wanted to focus primarily on the intriguing concept of fragmented souls and related fragmentation therapy cases. A need existed for an authoritative discussion and documentation of this underdeveloped area of emotional imbalance, as well as the means for diagnosis, isolation of the source and symptoms, and therapy for the client and the fragmented soul. Although the subject had been addressed to some extent in research journals and in books written by William Baldwin, we believed that the subject had not been sufficiently set before the general public and therapeutic community.

Fragmented souls are a special category of “entity attachment,” which is also referred to as “spirit attachment” by regression therapists. We soon recognized that a stand-alone book on spirit fragmentation may very well create a substantial void for the reader—a void which could only be filled adequately with a thorough discussion on spirit attachment and spirit attachment therapy, also called depossession therapy. Accordingly, the book was expanded to embrace both subjects.

This, then, is a book about spirit attachments, fragmented souls or spirits, the fragile human hosts, and the associated spirit therapies. Throughout this book, spirit therapy, which is also called “soul therapy,” is discussed in terms of its practical application and is punctuated with actual case histories. As necessary and appropriate, the true names and identities of subjects or clients have been changed.

Religion and Spirituality

It is not a purpose of this book to promote spirituality, the afterlife, pre-existence or reincarnation; neither is it intended to promote the concept of entity attachment. Instead, it is a premise of this book that there is far more to our spiritual existence than we could possibly fathom within the conscious mind.

This book deliberately moves its focus beyond religious issues. It recognizes and accepts that there are many interactions on the spirit and etheric levels which manifest themselves as physical inhibitions, inabilities, phobias, physical ailments, and the like. To discover, explore, and obtain healing from this marvelous frontier, we need only close our eyes and follow the rhythms of the soul.

Reader Reactions

As a reader, your reactions to this book can be extremely diagnostic. If you discover that you are struggling to finish this book, are uncomfortable with or could not finish certain chapters or cases, or if you experienced any other emotional responses to various sections of this book, then the reactions you are experiencing are very likely those of attached spirits or fragments.

You should mark the specific passages in the book which made you uncomfortable, and jot down your emotions and other responses on a notepad. In essence, you will be doing a self-diagnosis, so pay close attention to any significant reactions, and make careful notes.

Try reading any troubling passages a second time, and record your reactions again. Do not imagine reactions which do not actually exist, but do not discount areas of true discomfort, anxiety or panic: racing pulse or pounding heart, heavy breathing or shortness of breath, trembling hands or arms, sudden perspiration or clammy skin, a growing sense of fear, or something inside of you insisting that you stop reading this book.

After marking the passages and making notes on your reactions to this book, you may feel a need for additional assistance, counseling, or even a therapeutic evaluation. Help is available and can be obtained from the resources listed in the Appendix to this book.

As a final comment, it is recognized that many of the terms used in this book are new to many readers. A “Glossary of Common Terms” is included as Appendix B to assist the reader in their understanding of fragmented souls.
