Relative Soul Age — Messages from Michael

Several recent articles posted on The Soul Channel discussed Souls, Soul Mates and Soul Groups, Twin Souls and similar soul manifestations. This article continues the discussion by examining relative soul age.

Some people believe that all souls were created at the same moment; some believe a soul is created at the moment of birth; while still others believe they are created in discrete groups. Individual beliefs on the matter are related in part on whether or not the individual believes in multiple physical lives, including past lives. One group that believes souls are created in discrete groups is the ‘Michael group’, which is actually many groups that follow the ‘Michael teachings’. It is important to note that, in this case, Michael does not refer to St. Michael the Archangel; it refers instead to the name of the last physical incarnation of one ‘fragment’ (similar in concept to one ‘soul’ incarnation) of the Michael entity on the earth.

The Michael teachings are based on two extraordinary books: Messages From Michael and More Messages From Michael, both of which were authored by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. The source of information for both books came from channeling sessions by Yarbro and her friends via the use of a Ouija board. For participants seeking more detailed information on the Michael teachings, refer to the official Messages from Michael website, and I certainly encourage those who are pursuing a broader spiritual perspective to purchase the Michael books to balance or perhaps even integrate some of the remarkable discussions with their own personal belief system. Channeling 2011/11/17 — Channeling Your Energies

Introductory Remarks

One of the most important aspects of The Soul Channel is the opportunity to share channeled sessions. For my channeling/meditation sessions, I find it easiest to use automatic writing on a computer, which is discussed extensively in a previous two-part Automatic Writing article/post.

The reason for this particular automatic writing session is clearly stated in the opening paragraph. When reading one of my channeling sessions, the italicized passages are my own comments or questions; normal text are channeled responses.

2011-11-17

In Ruth Montgomery’s book Strangers Among Us, she states: “The Guides say that we are all swimming in an inexhaustible sea of energies, and that those who seemingly perform miracles simply know how to utilize the energies. It’s apparently as simple as the law of gravity, if we understand the principle.” Today I am seeking information on the principle — essentially asking how to use the energies to maximize the benefits.

Can you assist in this understanding?

Yes, we can assist in the discussion and further understanding, John. Of course, there are practical limits. For example, we will prevent any action which is against your personal, soul morality and anything else which could potentially devastate your life plan.

Agreed; shall we proceed?  Read More…

Channeling 2011/11/04 — How Can Spiritual Divinity be ‘Always Available’

Introductory Remarks

One of the most important aspects of The Soul Channel is the opportunity to share channeled sessions. This might also be considered as a meditation session, as meditation is certainly involved as part of the process of clearing the mind so as to be open to the channeled communications. For my channeling/meditation sessions, I find it easiest to use automatic writing on a computer, which is discussed extensively in a previous two-part Automatic Writing article/post.

In this specific session, I am seeking to understand how spiritual divinity (God, Allah, Jesus, St. Michael, etc.) are ‘always available’ to communicate and respond to questions and prayer. I decided to pose this question directly to the Creator. (Why not?)

For this two-way (ask and receive) channeling session, all items in italics are questions or comments by the author; all other information is channeled. The date shown below is the actual date the session took place; not the posting date.

2011-09-30

For this session, I would be grateful to communicate directly with God. Is this allowed, and can we do this within a flexible, multi-session discussion.

Of course, John. It would be valuable for people to understand that I am ALWAYS available, just as I am ALWAYS with and within every person. Similarly, the mechanism or approach to communication is not so important; what is important is the effort made to communicate and the openness for discussion.

Which leads to my primary question and the foundation of this discussion. If we recognize that there are many tens of billions of galaxies within the known universe, billions of star systems within those galaxies, billions of planets within those star systems, and according to Carl Sagan, “the total number of stars in the universe is greater than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of the planet Earth.” How can You be everywhere at once, and how are You able to find time to communicate with even a single being once in a lifetime, let alone being “ALWAYS available”? Q&A — Our Relationship with God Across Multiple Lives, 09/19/2011

[From time to time I receive questions through email or blog comments about spiritual and soul therapy issues. I know in my heart that these delightful inquiries from a few kind people actually respond to similar questions by many participants in The Soul Channel. So I have decided to share portions of the questions and responses without identifying the source of the inquiry.]

Question:

Assuming there is a possibility that a soul can have multiple physical life incarnations, how can a soul live many different lives and still maintain a relationship with God? If one has salvation in this life, but not in the next or previous lives, who wins?

Edited Response:

You and your soul are never separate from God; you are essentially one and the same, eternally connected. It is a difficult concept to understand, given the transcendent nature of the Creator of all existence.

Consider the following example: the cells in your right index finger are separate from the cells of your left little toe; yet they are part of, and contribute to, the whole of your physical body. Similarly, the red blood cells rushing through your heart are separate from the air molecules in your lungs, yet they must learn to co-exist within the blood stream for your body to survive, for your brain to think, for your vocal chords to sing. The energy which enters and moves through your body is separate from the air in your home or office, yet both the transient energy flowing through your cells and the transient air which moves into your lungs and provides oxygen to the bloodstream are critical to your physical existence, your physical health, and your soul’s ability to experience physical life. All of this is part of what we call Earth, and that is part of God’s universe, which is an integral part of God and which continues to exist by the sustaining energy provided by God.

So when one speaks of salvation, what are they being saved from? You have always been and will always be a part of God, and the very worst that could ever possibly happen to you is that your physical body may die early, such that your soul returns to your spiritual home sooner than planned. When one speaks of this life, the past life, and the next life, it is important to recognize that all physical lives are a part of the continuing life of the soul, and the soul always returns home between physical lives. Automatic Writing — Part 1

History of Automatic Writing

One of the most common forms of channeling information from the Soul Side is a personal “automatic writing” session. This concept will be new to many readers, while it is actually a common practice with a long history. Automatic writing derived over time from the concept of “free association writing” used in psychoanalysis as first developed by Sigmund Freud. Yet its roots date back to the early “stream of consciousness” concept found in early Buddhist scriptures (specifically, in the Digha Nikaya; reference Steven Collins,
Selfless Persons: Imagery and Thought in Theravada Buddhism
,
Cambridge University Press, 1982).

In 1890, the psychologist and philosopher William James published his Principles of Truth. James’ description of the mind-world connection described in terms of the “stream of consciousness” had a direct and significant impact on the development and expansion of “stream of consciousness writing.” This is commonly associated with the modernist movement in literature in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Stream of consciousness writing guides the reader to visualize or perceive a character’s point of view through the written equivalent of the character’s thought processes. Examples of stream of consciousness writing include Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina (1873), William Faulkner’s The Sound and the Fury (1929), and Nobel laureate Nadine Gordimer’s July’s People (1981).  Read More…

Automatic Writing — Part 2

The Process of Automatic Writing

For several decades, the famous author Ruth Montgomery was able to connect with an entity (soul or guide) on the Soul Side which identified itself as Lily. Although originally very skeptical, Ruth became quite comfortable over time with the information channeled from Lily as having a high degree of accuracy in terms of the information which was able to be verified in the physical world (e.g., people, places, dates, events, predictions, etc.). As a result, her automatic writing became the source of many successful books on spirituality. (On a personal level, my complete collection of Ruth Montgomery’s books are among my favorite reading and reference books.)

After reading one of Ruth Montgomery’s books on the subject of automatic writing, I was inspired to try it myself. As commonly happens with unfamiliar concepts, my early attempts at automatic writing failed. This was due in part to impatience, but it was primarily due to the frustration of learning to apply a centuries old technique in an era of advanced communication technology. While Ruth Montgomery relied on the pen and paper technique, I found it difficult while in meditation to keep track of a moving pencil on a page of limited dimensions and with limited space. I had no awareness of the edges of the paper and felt that the simple process of changing pages was unnecessarily disruptive to the meditation. Read More…

Reliability of Channeled Information and Intuitive Readings

Confusion often arises over the accuracy of information provided to clients by mediums, intuitive readers, diagnostic readers, and other channelers. I am often asked how to determine if channeled information is accurate, comprehensive, flexible or “set in stone” so as to be unchangeable. Whenever working with mediums and intuitive readers, please keep the following in mind:

1.      All channeled information is filtered through the conscious mind, emotions and vocabulary of the channeler. Filtered information may contain information which is biased based on the beliefs and understanding of the channeler. A “pure channel” is a person who is able to allow their conscious mind to “step aside” during the session so that the channeler cannot filter or bias the information. This is much easier said than done.  Read More…

The Law of Evolution

The purpose and direction of all existence is evolution. Static existence is meaningless for any life form, any soul, any entity. Existence has value only through its inherent opportunity for growth through change.

We evolve only through change; without change, existence is static. Learning is demonstrated only by change, which is the transition from one perspective and direction to another. Experience is the path to learning, the path to change, the path into evolution.

The root purpose of life in any form is to evolve beyond our current experiential perspective. The purpose of physical life is to experience that which we cannot experience from the soul plane and the higher spiritual dimensions. A core purpose of spirit life as independent souls is for the Universal Creator to experience that which He could not experience to the same degree when We were only One. As our individual experiences help us to grow, they impact others around us and help them to grow. It is through this collective growth process that the Creator also evolves.
