Soul Groups and Soul Mates

In January 2012, I posted an article entitled “What is the Soul”. The article concludes:

“…that which survives the physical life of a human being is the spiritual aspect and is referred to as the ‘soul’. And stepping backwards, any aspect of a human which existed before conception is also part of that same spirit or soul. Thus we recognize that the soul is that aspect of each of us which survives physical death and continues to live on into eternity.”

A reasonable question might then be: “Do we have any friends or ‘family’ on the Soul Side? Will that aspect of our personality that lived before conception and which will continue to live into eternity live with others we have known before?”

The simple answer is ‘yes’; we refer to that soul family as our ‘soul group’, and our soul friends are commonly referred to as our ‘soul mates’. Yet that is a very simple answer indeed, for there are many competing perspectives on soul groups and soul mates. In the next few articles (posts) we discuss these concepts from multiple perspectives and in the following articles, some of which are still under development:

Channeling 2011/11/05 — Many Paths to God and to Heaven

Introductory Remarks

One of the most important aspects of The Soul Channel is the opportunity to share channeled sessions. For my channeling/meditation sessions, I find it easiest to use automatic writing on a computer, which is discussed extensively in a previous two-part Automatic Writing article/post.

I recently wrote a book review for The Soul Channel on Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back, in which a boy not quite 4 years old had a near death experience and visited Heaven. Sometime after recovery, the boy seemed quite emphatic that souls cannot get back into Heaven without Jesus in their heart. The Soul Channel is not intended to promote any individual religion, and I personally do not believe that souls who do not accept Jesus as their personal savior cannot go to Heaven. Therefore, I felt a strong need to address this question with the Soul Side and to share the answer on The Soul Channel.

I believe that all spiritual paths lead to God and to the light (to Heaven). Therefore, in this specific session, I am seeking to examine the validity of the little boy’s conviction that the only path to Heaven is through Jesus. I decided to pose this question first to my Council of Elders and then directly to the Creator. (When channeling, never impose limits on who you want to communicate with.)

For this two-way (ask and receive) channeling session, all items in italics are questions or comments by the author; all other information is channeled. The date shown below is the actual date the session took place; not the posting date. Read More…

Q&A — Atonement and Karma, 09/19/2011

[From time to time I receive questions through email or blog comments about spiritual and soul therapy issues. I know in my heart that these delightful inquiries from a few kind people actually respond to similar questions by many participants in The Soul Channel. So I have decided to share portions of the questions and responses without identifying the source of the inquiry.]

Question:

How does the process of experiential learning as part of multiple lives fit in with God and the Christian concept of atonement?

Edited Response:

The concept of atonement (making amends for misdeeds and wrong-doing) is a cornerstone of many religions, especially Christianity. For Hinduism and Buddhism, the concept is “bad karma”, recognizing that there are both bad and good deeds in physical life (bad and good karma); one is rewarded or punished in one life for the deeds in a previous life. How you believe atonement occurs is one of the important tenets of your personal faith; thus any discussion on the matter creates the possibility of shaking one’s faith; I applaud your courage, and I will do my best not to crack that foundation.

We come into this world to experience that which we cannot experience in the total love environment of the soul side, and we make this journey with the blessing and the unconditional love of God, who has given us free will. In this world with billions of people, some are perceived as truly evil, while others are perceived as true humanitarians and philanthropists; most fall somewhere in the middle of these extremes; the diversity of the extremes of human nature offers an infinite number of combinations of possible interactions, both positive and negative. In planning our lives, we obtain assistance from experienced souls who will not be in physical form at the same time we are; and we make agreements and commitments with other souls for various relationships and interactions, again including actions which might be perceived as good or bad from different individual perspectives. These concepts lead to the following considerations: Read More…

Q&A — Our Relationship with God Across Multiple Lives, 09/19/2011

[From time to time I receive questions through email or blog comments about spiritual and soul therapy issues. I know in my heart that these delightful inquiries from a few kind people actually respond to similar questions by many participants in The Soul Channel. So I have decided to share portions of the questions and responses without identifying the source of the inquiry.]

Question:

Assuming there is a possibility that a soul can have multiple physical life incarnations, how can a soul live many different lives and still maintain a relationship with God? If one has salvation in this life, but not in the next or previous lives, who wins?

Edited Response:

You and your soul are never separate from God; you are essentially one and the same, eternally connected. It is a difficult concept to understand, given the transcendent nature of the Creator of all existence.

Consider the following example: the cells in your right index finger are separate from the cells of your left little toe; yet they are part of, and contribute to, the whole of your physical body. Similarly, the red blood cells rushing through your heart are separate from the air molecules in your lungs, yet they must learn to co-exist within the blood stream for your body to survive, for your brain to think, for your vocal chords to sing. The energy which enters and moves through your body is separate from the air in your home or office, yet both the transient energy flowing through your cells and the transient air which moves into your lungs and provides oxygen to the bloodstream are critical to your physical existence, your physical health, and your soul’s ability to experience physical life. All of this is part of what we call Earth, and that is part of God’s universe, which is an integral part of God and which continues to exist by the sustaining energy provided by God.

So when one speaks of salvation, what are they being saved from? You have always been and will always be a part of God, and the very worst that could ever possibly happen to you is that your physical body may die early, such that your soul returns to your spiritual home sooner than planned. When one speaks of this life, the past life, and the next life, it is important to recognize that all physical lives are a part of the continuing life of the soul, and the soul always returns home between physical lives. Meditation 2011-08-31 – Transcending Experiences

Introductory Remarks

One of the most important aspects of The Soul Channel is the opportunity to read channeled sessions. This is the first such channeling session, which was accomplished using automatic writing. This process is discussed extensively in a previous two-part Automatic Writing article/post. I prefer the automatic writing approach to channeling while using a computer, as the channeled information is captured on the screen without the burden or error associated with later recall.

For this two-way (ask and receive) channeling session, all items in italics are questions or comments by the author; all other information is channeled.

During a client reading yesterday, the activities involving the entity Adam were quite interesting. May I communicate with him again?

Of course, John. I am always here.

That opens one of the eternal questions: Why are entities and souls from the Soul Side “always here” and available at the slightest request? Read More…

My Soul My Doctor – Part 1: Individual Choices for Healing

This is a three-part article which establishes correlations among the individual human, its soul, and its soul group relative to healing processes:

  • Part 1: Individual Choices for Healing (this post);
  • Part 2: Influence of the Soul on Healing Processes; and
  • Part 3: Influence of Soul Groups on Healing Processes.

The Spiritual MD

I am dedicating this series of articles (posts) to my exceptional Orlando-area medical practitioners: Nafeesa Mahmood (MD), Heather Godfrey (SLP), John Meisenheimer (MD) and Manuel Faria (DC), along with other gifted medical practitioners. I refer to them as ‘gifted’ because:

  1. they have struggled and attained advanced skills through extensive training and experience;
  2. they are very open to Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM); and
  3. they don’t just talk about the value of folding mind, body and spirit into the therapeutic process; over time, their skills have evolved to an advanced level through their belief in a medical partnership with the mind and spirit as being the most effective path to healing.

Why are Healing Processes Selective?

It is sometimes useful to divide healing processes for any given illness roughly into thirds, as it applies to the whole of the population (all patients of all ages):  one-third of patients achieve a full recovery after a single visit to a doctor or therapist; one-third require multiple treatments; and one-third do not recover, continuing with the injury or dis-ease (spelled this way intentionally) in some form for the remainder of life and possibly contributing to other challenges or even a shortened life. This has little to do with the skill of an experienced physician; yet it has everything to do with the will of the patient and the intentions of the patient’s soul.

This also applies to most hypnosis and soul therapy procedures. Consider for example a large group hypnosis session:  one-third of the participants quit smoking immediately; one-third are able to quit smoking after several individual sessions; and one-third will not succeed in quitting. Again, this has little to do with the skill of an experienced therapist; yet it has everything to do with the will of the client and the intentions of the client’s soul. Read More…

My Soul My Doctor – Part 2: Influence of the Soul on Healing Processes

[This is a continuation from My Soul My Doctor, Part 1, which focused on the “Individual Choices for Healing.”]

Injury, Illness and Health are Life Plan Essentials

From an abbreviated perspective, most souls enter the physical world as an experiential learning process:  to experience that which they cannot experience in the pervasive loving purity of the Soul-Side; to gain a greater understanding of such experiences and their energetic emotional impacts; to demonstrate learning through changes in actions; and finally to gain wisdom from similar collective experiences.

One cannot completely understand darkness if there is only light and beauty; one cannot completely understand fear, anger, prejudice or war if there is only unconditional love; and one cannot completely understand injury, dis-ease or death if there is only eternal health. Looked at from another perspective, can a soul truly appreciate the light, love and eternal health without a comparative experience?

A soul does not simply decide to come into the physical world without approval and guidance. If selected for a physical life journey, the soul works with other experienced souls to develop a life plan that will provide a clear meaning (objective) and purpose to the physical life experience. If a soul is working on experiencing and understanding the effects of an enduring injury or dis-ease, including a short-lived terminal illness, then we can be certain that the soul will be directly involved in the outcome of any medical procedure. My Soul My Doctor – Part 3: Influence of Soul Groups on Healing Processes

[This is a continuation from My Soul My Doctor, Part 2, which focused on the “Influence of the Soul on Healing Processes.”]

Soul Groups and Health Choices

It should be recognized that individual souls do not come into the world alone; they tend to work with soul groups (which will be discussed further in a separate article). Collectively, the soul group works on a generic experiential area, such as war or cancer, and part of the life plan of the individual souls is to contribute toward the overall group experience. For example, one soul may choose to die in war; others may experience that loss and the associated grief through a familial relationship or friendship with the soldier who died in battle; others may read about battle casualties or deaths in the paper or hear it on the news and react significantly. Each reaction contributes to the collective group experience and understanding about war.

Similarly, a soul group may be working on understanding cancer. One soul may die quickly from a late detection of cancer; one of the daughters may subsequently contract cancer and fight the terminal illness for years before passing over; other siblings may live their lives in fear of contracting cancer as their sister and mother did; yet another may contract cancer and experience remission, only to live in fear and face the cancer again later in life. Collectively, the soul group learns about many aspects of cancer through direct experience and from individual reactions:  surprise, death, fear, stress, grief, anguish, remission, changes in lifestyle or diet or exercise to avoid a similar cancer, struggle to survive, giving up when death is at the door, and an infinite number of questions as to “why me” or “why us” and “how could God be so unmerciful?” Read More…

Belief in the Existence of the Soul

Belief in the Soul is an Option of Life

It is not necessary to believe that you have a soul. Neither is it necessary to believe in life after physical life or even to believe in God. Your choice of belief systems is an option of life, just as you may choose the details of your religious beliefs. In fact, most atheists reject the concept of the soul, just as they reject the existence of God; for if one chooses to reject God, then he would normally also reject the concepts of eternal life, life beyond life, and any alternative dimensional existence which would correlate with the definition of the eternal soul.

Here is another critical component of belief systems which you can personally and individually choose to accept or reject: if we are spiritual beings having a short-term physical existence, then physical life is not an accident of the universe. We are here for a purpose — an experiential purpose. That purpose and the key experiences of our physical life are controlled primarily by our individual soul, including how long we live, the illnesses of our life, and when we die. Read More…
